New levels of self-reflection

A joke my trainer told in class today:

Two SIT TESOL certificate candidates are waiting at a bus stop. One of them says to the other, "Look, the bus is coming!" The second one replies, "How do you feel about that?"

  1. I don't get it.

I bet Mamferd found it offensive.

  3. Geez... I thought I had complained to most of you that if I heard the word "reflective" in my class one more time I was going to throw up. We can't do anything without analysis and reflection, and then we reflect on the analysis and analyze the reflection. To give you an idea, our last assignment was a "Reflective Paper" - questions included "What have you learned about yourself as a learner this week from the language learning experience?" and "How will you apply what you've learned about learning and language learning to your teaching?"

Plus the joke is just one more level of self-awareness and reflection.
    Hence: humor.

  5. I got it. In and of itself, though, the joke's just not that funny. The back story is totally funny, though. And i think your parents are playing with you, which is also funny.
