Happy (C)hanukka(h)!!

I still have a menorah (excuse me, hanukkiyah) identical to the smaller one pictured. I bought it on ebay after losing the original in a move. Though, sadly, I didn't get to light quite so many candles tonight. I did eat fried eggs and give JR his first Hanukkah present.

  1. i love this picture so much! you are ridiculously adorable. AND just the sight of those specific hannukah candles gave me such a strong sense memory of the SMELL of opening a box of them. mmm cheap wax. chag sameach, lady!

  2. I am continuing my annual tradition of not bothering/remembering/getting a chance to by Chanukah candles until the second day of Chanukah. However, I cobbled together a most bootleg setup of Shabbat candles last night and it pretty much did the trick. Now I have to drive to a way inconvenient HEB to buy my box because it's impossible to find Chanukah candles in this city, in spite of the fact that we apparently have the 15th highest number of Birthright alumni in the country. Represent.

  3. I know, last night I was all set to drive in the rain to the out-of-the-way Walgreens that carries TWO choices of candles. Then I discovered I was a genius last year and bought an extra box! Or was it a Hanukkah miracle??
